Well this is where the allegation is brother, hopefully you could share some thoughts:
There are two comments under the article and one by Wolf answers the criticism there. This guy did not reply to him. The writer is a fraudster and he quoted Lane’s Lexicon in brief instead of the entire definition. Look here: http://lexicon.quranic-research.net/data/06_H/076_Hrm.html the translators have done the right work and he dismissed them without any basis. Moreover, some of the non-Muslim authors have also translated it as ‘sacred duty’ instead of ‘forbidden’.
Alright thanks akhi but would it still be an error considering that some translations have rendered it as forbidden?
Forbidden would be wrong in this case and would make the meaning wrong too. The two Holy Mosques are also called Haram and no one translates them as forbidden but we consider them sacred so the verse indicates that this is a sacred duty given to us by Allah.
May Allah reward you, you’ve cleared my doubts now.
As Salam aleykum brother Abu Rahma , in this Hadith the Prophet pbuh tells to Sahla to breastfeed Salim . I saw some Muslims said that she breasted him directly and others said that she breastfeed him with a cup where she put the Milk in it . Did she breastfeed him directly or with a cup ?
Please read more here: https://icraa.org/on-the-question-of-adult-breastfeeding-in-islamic-tradition/
Jazak Allah khayran brother ! Just a thing . They mention this Hadith “Sahla used to put milk in a vessel or a cup and Salim drank it for five consecutive days. Thereafter, he used to visit her even when she was not in veil. It was an allowance which the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made for Sahla ” .But in the chain of Transmission, doesn’t it have Al-Waqidi who is a weak narrator ?
Salam i have 2 questions the First Is the hadith about the romans(western world of today) being the majority okay this Is a future prophecy but are also the 4 charateristic mentioned in the same hadith like resistance against the king helping the orphans ecc are Those also part of the future prophecy or was something of their time and the second Is about this hadith i Will Copy It (The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The hour will not be established unless a man from the tribe of Qahtan appears, driving the people with his stick ruling them with violence and oppression) what Is the tafsir of this hadith and has this prophecy happened or Is still to happen barakAllahfik
W/Salaam, the four qualities are those which were with them during that time. It is not a prophecy but a fact about the qualities that they had. I believe these qualities are still in them today. For the second one, Qahtani Khalifa, I believe he will be the Khalifa after Eisa (a.s.) returns. Caliphate will return with the Mahdi, followed by Eisa (a.s.) and then there will be a few more afterwards.
As Salam aleykoum ahki , in the Qu’ran and Ahadith , we don’t have the number of men of Banu Qurayza wwho were killed . However , in the Sirah , we have contradictory numbers such as 400 , 600 , 700 or 900 . Are these numbers authentic ?
May Allah bless you brother Abu Rahma .
Wa’alaykumusSalaam wr wb, yes the numbers were somewhere between 400 to 900. I believe most scholars said 700 but I’m not too sure.
Thanks ! And are those reports about the numbers that Ibn Kathir , Ibn Ishaq and others scholars said about the numbers of Jews killed between 400 and 900 authentic ?Because we don’t have any Authentic Hadith stating the numbers .
These are historical reports and we take them even if they do not stand up to Hadith standards of authenticity. For this incident, we know the range but cannot be sure of the exact number so we leave it within that range.
As Salam aleykoum ahki , in Sahih Bulhari 1350 , in the English translation , it is said that the Prophet ﷺ ordered the chief of the Hypocrites to be taken out of his grave. And it says that he ﷺ threw some of his saliva on him . Some people said that in the Arabic this hypocrite wasn’t taken out of his grave but it was during his funeral . And that the Prophet ﷺ blow on him but didn’t spit on him .Is it true ?
Here is the Hadith I’m talking about :
Wa’alaykumusSalaam wr wb, I somehow missed this comment altogether. Sorry about that.
Yes, he wasn’t taken out of his grave but it was during the funeral when the grave was still open.
My question Is about some hadith that are supposedly weak or have weakness daif even tho im not 1000% sure but to me its sound strange i really read a couple of weak hadith that speaks of future events and are incredibly accurate in some case It even go higher than some sahih hadith by higher i mean not only accurate but even detailed how can we explain this phenomena by this Is i mean hadith like the One about Buildings reaching mountains top or holes piercied in Mecca mountains or the One about the increase of lesbianism and homosexuality and a couple more ah and the First One about Mecca Buildings Is not daif Is mauquf if you can explain what It means barakAllahfik
A Hadith being weak means that the evidence of it being from the Prophet (s) is not very strong. It is not a declaration that the Hadith is false or fabricated. For example, some narrators started forgetting things in old age and hence, what they narrated in that age is classified as weak i.e., the evidence of them being from the Prophet (s) is not very strong. Such narrations may be actual words of the Prophet (s) or they may not be but due to the evidences around them, the Hadith scholars deemed them weak. For such narrations, the actual event may come to light and if it does so, that would not be a surprise.
A mauquf hadith is one about – muttasil (continuous) or munqati’ (broken) – words, deeds and explanations of the Sahaba (Companions). Its chain cannot be traced to the Prophet (s), but to a Sahabi. An important point that one must note is that when a companion mentions something pertaining to the ghayb (unseen), he does so based on what he had learned from the Prophet (s) except in some rare cases where they may be narrating Israelite traditions.
For events of the future, one must build a base from the authentic Hadiths and that base should be rock solid. Then, narrations with minor weakness may be placed in the right place as long as they don’t contradict the base and have basis from the authentic ones.
This is a lengthy topic and I tried to simplify it as much as possible here.
barakAllahfik for the answer so for example the hadith mawquf which i read Is sanad Is hasan that speaks about holes piercied in Mecca mountains and Building reaching and even beyond Mecca mountains top can be used as evidence in dawah? Because many use this hadith in dawah videos jazakAllahkhairan
Yes, Hassan Hadith is fair and sound.
barakAllahfik for the answers im aksing many questions to you this days barakAllahfik for the time you take to answer my next 2 questions Is about a hadith that speaks about musical instruments on their heads and the increase of homosexuality and lesbianism i saw them in the famous hamza yusuf video of end of time signs but he didnt mention any reference are they sahih daif fabricated can they be used again barakAllahfik for the answer
Please share the video and I’ll find the full Hadith with grading iA.
As Salam aleykoum ahki , do you know if there is any book in English who distinguishes the weak Hadith from the Authentic Hadith in the Hadith books other than Sahih Bukhari and Muslim ?
Wa’alaykumusSalaam wr wb, sunnah.com gives Hadith gradings under each Hadith.
Did you find the hadith mentioned in the video
Yes, it is here: https://bit.ly/326E2lo It is classified as weak but it is stated (إسناده ضعيف إلا أن أكثر ألفاظه قد روي أيضا بأسانيد متفرقة) ie., its chain is weak, but most of its wordings come through other chains as well.
Salam aleykoum ahki, do you know if the Hadith “You will conquer Constantinople. The best commander is its commander and the best army is its army ” in Musnad Ahmed is authentic ?
Wa’alaykumusSalaam wr wb, yes the Hadith is authentic. Most people think it’s referring to Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih but it is about the Mahdi: https://qurananswers.me/2016/10/29/sequence-dajjal-arrival/
Salam aleykoum ahki , I wanted to ask you what do you think of the Orientalists’s theory that Umayyah ibn Abi As-Salt’s poems inspired the Prophet SWS regarding the Prophet stories because he was knowledgeable about the Christian scripture and that there are similar themes between his poems and the Quranic text .
Wa’alaykumusSalaam wr wb, they ignore the fact that the Qur’an differs significantly from the Bible in many instances. This is one example: https://youtu.be/c2ovILc_sKY There are plenty more. The Qur’an itself says that the source of the scriptures is One i.e., Allah. Allah revealed these scriptures but people corrupted the earlier ones and the Qur’an corrects them. Therefore, there are definitely going to be similarities as the source is the same and the differences are proven by time to be on the side of Islam.
Bro write an article on the Hadith about women are deficient in Deen and intellect.
As Salam Aleykoum ahki, yeah it would be awesome if the brother Abu Rahma would write an article about this Hadith .If you have doubts about this Hadith ,here are articles explaining it :
Are women deficient in intelligence & religion? Explaining that hadith.
“..You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands.” https://sunnah.com/bukhari/6/9
These articles collectively contain enough to explain the hadith comprehensively.
Salam aleykoum brother Abu Rahma , there are some Islamophobes who claims that the Prophet SWS and his companions killed women and babies according to this Hadith :
Book 019, Hadith Number 4321.
Chapter : Permissibility of killing women and children in the night raids, provided it is not deliberate.
It is reported on the authority of Sa’b b. Jaththama that the Prophet of Allah (may peace be upon him), when asked about the women and children of the polytheists being killed during the night raid, said: They are from them.
How to respond to this allegation ? May Allah bless you .
